Dear Jeff, dear list-ners,
on my PC with Word for Windows and new software from t-online, I realized at
once the enourmous lenth of this document. It took me about 4 minutes to
download it (which was the longest I ever received), but when I realzied an
exe.file I stopped opening the gift box at once to prevent loading a virus.
I hope for anybody, that it was not containing a virus. Save the informations on
the sender anyway...
If this was "only" a joke, the sender does not seems to be very intelligent. He
made not a gift but caused to many list-ners COSTS. But in these peaceful days,
let us be not too angry with him/her.
By the way: The new faster eMail tools which allow quicker downloading and
reducing the telephone costs at least here in Germany are free of charge (aol,
t-online, probably also by compuserve). Get an ISDN-connection, sell your old
modem and get the new fast software - it will reduce your eMail costs by 50%!
