Thanks to Andy Finch for the information about the House Banking
Committee and museum director's conversation about looted art. For any
listserve members within traveling range, Chair of that Committee, Rep.
Jim Leach, (R) Iowa, will be meeting with the public in Oregon twice
next Saturday, Feb. 21st. He has been awarded the prestigious Wayne
Morse Integrity in Politics award, to be presented at a banquet in
Eugene Saturday evening. He will also be in Corvallis the same morning,
meeting with the public from 10 to 11 at the Benton County Courthouse,
under the auspices of Project Vote Smart, of which he is a Board
member. If you have questions, or want to attend the banquet, call me
at 541/757-3174 over the weekend, or 541/754-2746 early next week.
