I am posting this for The Oscar Howe Art Center:

Executive Director. The Mitchell Area Arts Council/Oscar Howe Art Center
seeks qualified individual for executive director position. Qualified
candidates should have knowledge of non-profit organizations, art and
its exhibition. Preference given to candidates with experience in grant
writing and initiating and coordinating fund drives. Knowledge and
appreciation of Native American art desireable. Send resume and
references by February 15 to: Search Committee, Oscar Howe Art Center,
P.O. Box 1161, Mitchell, SD 57301-7161. EEO employer.

Note: This would be a challenging and exciting position. Mitchell is a
town of 14,000. Besides the "World's Only Corn Palace" for which is most
known for, there are a number of other museums in the town, two of which
are engaged in multi-million dollar facility improvements. The town has
good schools, hosital, adequate shopping opportunities (Sioux Falls is
less than an hour away for "specialty items")and there is no state
income tax.
