The Henry Ford Museum integrated a 1950s Holiday Inn room, complete with
most of the exterior walls, bathroom, and furnishings and fixtures, into
its large exhibit hall. A very significant bit of Americana, though
some might think a historic log cabin is more worthy of all that
effort. It fits in so perfectly with cars, gas stations, Burma Shave
signs, and other roadside elements.
