CALL FOR REVIEWERS
The Institute of Museum and Library Services, Office of Library
Services, is seeking field reviewers to evaluate proposals for its 1998
National Leadership Grants. We especially need museum professionals to
review proposals for library/museum collaborative projects. Qualified
reviewers will have expertise in cooperative programs involving
libraries and museums, or expertise in a field with potential
applications in libraries and museums (e.g., descriptive standards to
public programs, new technologies)
If you will be available to review approximately eight proposals during
a four-week period beginning in May, we hope you will submit a reviewer
application form. Reviewers may not be contacted again before they
receive grant proposals for review, however, we will send an information
package for reviewers with proposals. If you do not receive proposals
for review this year, we will contact you about your availability for
future grant cycles in which your expertise is needed. Reviewer
application forms are available on the IMLS web site at:
http://www.imls.fed.us and are also printed in the front of the National
Leadership Grant guidelines. The guidelines are also available on the
IMLS site in both html and pdf format, or may be requested in hard copy
by replying to the contact person listed below. Please submit the
completed application form with a current resume to:
