The Smiths Falls Railway Museum is housed in the former Canadian
Northern Railway station in Smiths Falls, Ontario Canada.
Smiths Falls is a small town of 9000 yet it had two railway
station, the one the museum is housed in and the Canadian Pacific
Railway station which is still active and sees up to eight passenger
trains a day. During the summer months at least once a day people
will arrive at the museum, suitcases in hand, wanting to board our
(stationary)train and ride it to Toronto.
The museum has been in place since 1984, the last passenger train
called at this station in 1979.
