Job Description
Web Developer

The Tech Museum of Innovation is an educational resource established to
engage people of all ages and backgrounds in exploring and experiencing
technologies affecting their lives and to inspire the young to become
innovators in the technologies of the future.

Join a dynamic, creative team responsible for the website of one of
America's premiere science and technology museums.  The Tech is seeking an
innovative and adaptive developer with a diverse technical  background. The
Web Developer is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Manager of
Online Services.

Responsibilities:

-Provide technical expertise to implement new web content.
-Maintain structure and integrity of Tech web site.
-Introduce and integrate new web media and technologies.
-Serve as Museum Manager or Asst. Museum Manager on assigned weekend days
and holiday.
-Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

-Mastery of current HTML specifications.
-Demonstrated experience with Perl scripting language.
-Working knowledge of CGI Programming, Javascript, UNIX tools and editors.
-Familiarity with TCP/IP networks.
-Proven ability to troubleshoot web software and hardware.
-Desire to work collaboratively in a small team and multitask among several
projects.
-Sense of humor and love of learning.
-Database / web integration  a plus.
-A/V& Multimedia experience a plus.
