As a contribution to the Toronto 'Museums and the Web' conference
http://www.archimuse.com/mw98 Ian Russell is running a Web-based discussion
open to anyone who would like to contribute. It is called
'Symmetrical Transactions', referring to his conviction that museum
visitors are capable, in a sense, of building museum exhibits for
themselves in a variety of ways. The idea is to discuss ways of encouraging
people to 'put something in' not just to 'get something out' during their
visit, and how the Web may now be able to facilitate this.
