>MARAC MEETING SCHOLARSHIP

>The Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC) offers two
>scholarships of $300.00 each for individuals to attend its semiannual
>meetings. Scholarship funds may be used for conference registration,
>workshops, conference meals and travel expenses. Persons meeting the
>criteria outlined below are encouraged to apply for funding for the Spring
>1998 meeting to be held in Saratoga Springs, New York from May November
7-9, 1998.

>Applicants must:

>1. Be a new member of MARAC with a membership of at least one month and
less than two years duration at the time of application.

>2. Be a new employee of less than two years in an archival or archives
>related field or be currently enrolled as a graduate student in history or

>MODERN ARCHIVES INSTITUTE SCHOLARSHIP

>The Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC) has instituted a
>scholarship program to provide a scholarship of $545 to cover tuition for
>an individual to attend the Modern Archives Institute. This scholarship is
>named in honor of MARAC member Leonard Rapport and is known as the Leonard
>Rapport Modern Archives Institute Scholarship.

>To qualify for this program an individual must meet the following criteria:

>1. Be a new member in good standing of MARAC, with a membership of at
