Director of Information Technology, Cranbrook Educational Community
Cranbrook Educational Community, an internationally renowned educational
institution dedicated to excellence in the arts, education and science,
seeks a Director of Information Technology to provide overall leadership
and management of Cranbrook's information technology department.
Responsibilities include management of databases, network operations, data
security, telecommunications, project coordination, and training efforts,
ensuring that IT supports and enhances the independent K-12 schools,
graduate Academy of Art, Art Museum, Institute of Science, and
administrative activities of Cranbrook.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree, 3-5 years IT management
experience, and demonstrated strengths in areas of planning, operations,
and budgeting.
Preference will be given to those candidates with experience within
academic/educational/museum settings and broad experience working with
client/server and multimedia environments. An understanding and
familiarity with most or all of the following is necessary: fiber optic
networks, TCP/IP, IPX, fault-tolerant switching hubs, fast Ethernet,
Wellfleet routers, Compaq, Sun, Macintosh and DEC equipment and network
operating systems including Netware, Solaris, Open VMS, Windows NT and MS
Exchange.
