>The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is seeking a Coordinator of Educational
>Technology. This position is responsible for the conceptualization,
>production, implementation, and evaluation of technology-based educational
>resources (including interactive videodisks, Web sites, audio tours, etc.)
>for use with the Museum's encyclopedic collections and temporary
>exhibitions. Administrative responsibilities include managing the Museum's
>multi-media lab in the Center for Education and Outreach. This position also
>presents lectures, classes, and workshops in educational technology to
>teachers, students, the public, and other museum and education
>professionals. Develops and administers the departmental budget.

>Qualifications: Applicants should have in-depth knowledge of art history
>and/or art education; with experience in creating and producing
>technology-based educational resources (including Web sites, interactive
>videodisks, and audio tours). Graduate degree in art history or art
>education preferred. Ability to teach and communicate with people of all
>ages and diverse backgrounds. University and /or museum teaching experience
>highly desirable. Excellent conceptualization, research, writing, and
>program development skills supported by examples. Applicants must have
>proven skills in budget and office management. An equivalent combination of
>training and experience indicating possession of the preceding knowledge and
>abilities may substitute for this education and experience. A security

>Salary Ranges: $19,582.00 to $34,943.00 and excellent state benefits
