Katie...
At the Naturalist Center, we run regular workshops on teaching with
objects. The programs run from one day to one week in length. We
are also currently running a year long program on using objects
to teach with constructivist teaching methods. The program is
being funded by the Smithsonians Educational Outreach Fund. We
currently have 18 elementary, middle and high school teachers
enrolled. At the end of the year long project, teachers will have
been required to develop lesson plans that they have tested in
the classroom or at the Naturalist Center.
If you want more information, please do not hesitate to
contact me.
