The Regional Council of Historical Agencies, based in upstate New York, will
sponsor (with the support of the New York State Council on the Arts) a New
Directors Institute for directors with five years or less experience at small
and mid-sized museums in New York State. It will be held September 8-11 at
the historic great camp Sagamore in the Adirondacks and will provide an
intensive introduction to all areas of museum management and, in addition, an
opportunity to network with peers. 25 participants will be selected through
an application process; applications are due June 21. There is a minimal cost
that covers all programs, materials, room and board. For more information or
an application, please contact me at [log in to unmask], or at RCHA's toll-free
number, 1-800-895-1648.
