As regards Ms. Jackson's query on 20th century repros, we
had good luck with a company called "Family Heir-Loom
Weavers," R.D. #3, Box 59E, Red Lion, PA.  They replicated
an 1883 wool, pea-weave carpet for installation at the
Chateau de Mores State Historic site, doing a nice job for a
reasonable price.  Contact me off-list for details if you
