I am posting this for Charles Roth, who called our museum last weekend with
this request for information:
Does anyone know how to get in touch with the Lincoln Train Project,
concerned with the history of President Lincoln's funeral train? A person
we think is connected with the project is Wayne E. Wesolowski (sp?).
More specifically, Mr. Roth is interested in learning more about a train
car which is being restored in a railroad museum near him in Wisconsin. The
car has a manufacture date stamp of "November 1864", is numbered "Coach No.
112", and was made by Osgood Bradley Co. The coach ran on the "E Jordan &
Southern" line, one of the Michigan lines.
Mr. Roth would like to know how he can find out if this train car was part
of Lincoln's funeral train.
You are welcome to call Mr. Roth directly, at 715-834-8125
Or respond to the list, either one is fine. Any "leads" and info welcome.
Thanks!
Christen Runge
