The Indiana University Art Museum seeks an experienced registrar
responsible for the administration and supervision of the registrar's
office. Activities include the collection management of over 35,000
objects (accessioning new objects, maintaining accession and cross
reference files, and the coordination of art object movements and
locations). The registrar is also responsible for loan processing,
packing and shipping arrangements, customs declarations, coordination of
insurance, and processing claims. Supervises full-time staff consisting
of associate registrar and office assistant. Qualifications: B.A. and
considerable related experience and/or M.A. in Museum Administration or
Art History required; experience with computerization of collections
strongly preferred. Salary commensurate with experience. Send letter of
