Dear Museum L,

I would like help locating more information about the Sculptor Ernesto Begni
del Piatta, and any known pieces of his work.  He sculpted the Navy and
Marine monument in Washington, DC, which is reported in James Goode's book of
sculpture.  I have also contacted the Survey of American Art, and the
Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts that exhibited two of his works in 1924 -
Chaplain Francis P. Duffy and William J. Callahan.  I also understand that he
is supposed to have written a book "The Vatican, Its History and Treasures".
 Does anyone have a copy?

If anyone can provide me with more information about this sculptor, I would
greatly appreciate it.  If any museum or individual owns a piece of his work,
I would also like to hear about it.  Please respond to me off list at
