Telementoring Young Women in Engineering and Computing:
Providing the Vital Link
Funder: National Science Foundation
To encourage young women in secondary schools to pursue engineering and
computing careers, EDC develops and evaluates 'telementoring' environments
that enable high-school girls to communicate with women professionals and
college students. The program is being implemented in five states through
the U.S. Department of Energy's Adventures in Supercomputing program.
