Curatorial Intern
The Reno County Museum and the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center offer a
joint year-long Curatorial Intern position starting in June. The Intern
will work half-time at each institution for a total stipend of $14,000, and
will perform tasks including: cataloging, inventorying artifacts,
conducting research and working with general correspondence, helping with
storage renovation, and providing support with exhibits, special events,
and daily operations. The Intern will complete a project at each museum.
This is a unique opportunity to gain experience working in a small
historical museum and a large space museum. Candidates should have some
museum experience and be newly graduated or finishing a Masters Degree in
museum studies or other related field and have an interest in western
history and the history of manned space flight. Knowledge of Russian a
