Please contact the 'Fédération des Ecomusées et des Musées de Société', 4
square Castan, F-25031 Besançon cedex (France), tel. +33.3.81832255, fax
+33.3.81810892 (I don't have the e-mail address). They regularly publish a
guide with all the available travelling exhibitions that are offered by the
ecomuseums.
A good book published by them is: Ecomusées en France. Premières Rencontres
Nationales des Ecomusées (Grenoble, 1987) - although some years old it
gives a very good overview of the growth and the ideas behind the French
ecomuseums. I hope it's still available.
Another good source of what's happening in the ecomuseum-world is Marc
Goujard, director at the Ecomusée de la Région Fourmies-Trelon, Place Maria
Blondeau, B.P. 65, F-59612 Fourmies Cedex (France), tel. +33.3.27606611,
fax +33.3.27602388
In Flanders we have one ecomuseum: 'Ecomuseum en Archief van de Boomse
Baksteen' (Ecomuseum and Archives of the Boom Brick Area), Noeveren 196,
B-2850 Boom (Flanders-Belgium), tel. +32.3.8881558, fax idem - no e-mail
