MUSEUM STUDIES SUMMER INTERNSHIP
The Milwaukee Public Museum, a large natural history museum in a city of
640,000, is offering a summer internship for students enrolled in a
graduate degree granting program in Museum Studies. This program,
sponsored by the Betty L. and M. Kenneth Starr Internship Fund, runs
from June to August and offers a stipend of $1000 for assistance in
travel and living expenses.
A variety of internships, depending on availability, exists in areas
such as Anthropology, Botany, Conservation, Development, Education,
Exhibition, Geology, History, Marketing, Registration, and Zoology.
Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate degree granting program in
Museum Studies. They must also have completed some coursework in one of
the above areas. Candidates must be prepared to perform at least 125
hours of internship work.
