"Neat Stuff. Using Objects to Explore Women's History" will be held
October 3 and 4 in Ottawa/Hull. Presented by the Ontario Women's
History Network, this workshop is targetted for people who are *not*
familiar with the use of objects to study women's history but are
interested in finding out more.
Schedule:
Friday, October 3
4-5 pm: A tour of the exhibit "Love, Leisure and Laundry" at the
National Museum of Science and Technology (in Ottawa, Ontario)
5-7 pm: Reception at NMST
Saturday, October 4
8:30 am - 4pm:
A day-long workshop at the Canadian Museum of Civilization (in Hull,
Quebec) on using collections to study women's history. The workshop
includes hands-on sessions with objects, behind-the-scenes collections
tours, presentations, and more.
Cost (in Cdn $):
Friday reception & tour: $15
Saturday's workshop (including lunch): OWHN members: $35; Non-members:
$45
Students & unemployed: $20
