If any MUSEUM-L'ers are curious about CIDOC, the following notice
may be of interest. Those of you who are on ICOM-L will already
have seen this and are apologized to for the unnecessary mailbox
stuffing.
- - -
ICOM's International Committee for Documentation, CIDOC, will be
holding its annual conference in Nuremberg Sept 7-11. For the
past several years an e-mail channel has been provided for
communication between the conference participants and network
users who are interested in the proceedings but are unable to
attend.
If you wish able to send questions or comments to the conference
and would like to receive bulletins about what's going on there,
you are welcome to join the CIDOC-97 distribution list.
To do so, send a message to [log in to unmask] containing the
following command on a single line in the body of the message:
SUBSCRIBE CIDOC-97 Yourfirstname Yourlastname
The scope of the discussion on the list depends on the interest
displayed by folks in Netland, the willingness of conference
participants to provide more or less regular reports, and the
reliability of a temporary technical installation. No promises!
The list will be closed at the end of the conference but if it
has generated some interesting non-ephemeral communication, the
list archives will subsequently be made available via the Web.
