The Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park, FL, has a customized,
climate-controlled, secure van installed with approx. 18 works of art
representing all media and genres in the Museum's collection, which travels
to area schools, nursing homes, etc. as a community outreach. Its target
audience is those who may otherwise not visit the museum, and to encourage
them and their families to become Museum-goers.
We would like to hear from other museums with similar units which have
re-designed for handicap accessibility: design requirements, costs,
designers consulted, etc. Thanks. Judith Dressel
