Although a military historian myself, and retired military, I suggest you
talk seriously with your university advisors before doing a concentration in
military history. The number of employers looking for someone with that
background are limited, in comparison to those looking for someone with a
background in American history generally. (I am presuming that in a minor,
your opportunity for specialization or depth of studies is limited).
With regard to a resource on military museum work/practice, you may want to
contact someone in the U.S. Army museum program, which has a lot of
references on this subject.
