The Morton Arboretum, Lisle, Illinois (25 miles west of Chicago)
Position Available: Development Assistant, Full-time, Non-exempt
Summary: Provide office support to the Development Program. Manage
donor records and fund-raising software system. Assist with
coordination and implementation of donor events.
Qualifications
Previous Training: College degree or equivalent education/experience.
Minimum two years experience in development, business, marketing, or
related field preferred. Experience in database management
necessary. Knowledge of fund-raising software helpful. Must have
excellent organizational and clerical skills and an understanding of
budgetary process.
Physical/Mental Requirements: Must be dependable, accurate, and
flexible. Must have the ability to handle sensitive information in a
confidential manner. The ability to comminucate clearly is essential.
Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with a diversity of people,
including donors, memorial gift-givers, volunteers, trustees, etc.
