Job Opportunity -- Museum Specialist.
The Eastern California Museum of Inyo County, California is recruiting for
a Museum Specialist. Located at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains in
the high desert community of Independence, the museum (founded in 1928)
features local history, the Owens Valley-Los Angeles Water Story, Owens
Valley Native Americans, and Manzanar, the World War II Japanese American
War Relocation Camp. The Museum Specialist is responsible for museum
collection registration and management; supervision of museum part time
staff; answering research requests and coordinating access to museum
collections for researchers; conducting tours and educational programs;
coordinating museum oral history program; and performing a variety of
clerical duties. A Bachelor's Degree and one year of relevant museum
experience is required. $1,999 - $2,427 approximate monthly salary (with
