I'd like to recommend you visit the Brandywine Valley in Wilmington,
Delaware. There are many wonderful museums in this region,
including Hagley Museum (where the du Pont story begins), Winterthur
Museum, and Longwood Gardens.
Hagley has many interesting aspects that should appeal to your family,
including the original DuPont Company gunpowder mills, the first du Pont
family home built in America, and E.I. du Pont's restored French Garden.
Set on 235 acres along the Brandywine, the museum also includes an
operating 1880s Machine Shop and workers' community.
If you'd like more information,I'd be happy to send a brochure.
