The Center for Museum Studies, Smithsonian Institution, is still
accepting applications for:
Introduction to the Management of Museum Collections
September 15-19, 1997
Application Deadline is June 6, 1997
Explore practical techniques for documenting and managing objects, from
their arrival at the front door to placement in an exhibition or storage
space. Barbara J. Coffee, Museum Consultant with thirty years experience
in the hands-on care and management of history collections will lead the
teaching team. Faculty will be drawn from the staff of the Smithsonian
Institution as well as other museums and cultural institutions in the
Washington, DC area. A $250.00 tuition fee covers all course materials.
