The Dumbarton Oaks Museum, Washington, DC, (the site of the famous
Dumbarton Oaks Conference in 1944 which helped shape the post-War UN
Charter), has a program in the "history of landscape architecture". The
program is concerned with the art and history of gardens through the ages.
The program has an extensive library of of books, monographs, etc.,
pertaining to European and North American gardens.
