The California Academy of Sciences has a searchable gopher site that
contains abbreviated databases on herpetological collections (taxon and
number of specimens held) for a number of institutions, including that for
the Laboratory for Environmental Biology (LEB). The address, reachable
through the web, is <gopher://CAS.calacademy.org:70/11/depts/herp/herpdata>,
or it can be accessed through a link on the LEB's herp page
<http://www.utep.edu/~leb/collect/herps/herpdata.html>.
