Sherry Butcher-Younghans, <Historic House Museums> Oxford University
Press, 1993.
Barbara J. Howe, et al., <Houses and Homes: Exploring Their History>
AASLH, 1987. (Now published by Altamont (sp?)
The Butcher-Younghans book has a very fine bibliography.
