Mr. Dill - while "standards" may have a down side, there appear to be some
advantages. Do you think that, for example, that a curator in a
university museum with an annual budget of $500,000 which initiates 5
changing exhibitions a year should be compensated at the same level as a
curator in a university museum with an annual budget of $100,000 which
mounts one travelling exhibition a year? Averaging both together is what
enables board members to select a "mid range" salary for one's position
and come up with $15,000/year as a reasonable figure.
