Museum-L'ers: Like everyone on AOL, I've been endlessly frustrated lately by
the traffic and busy signals. I stumbled on a little software that I
downloaded, however, and it is really great -- Of course, now I can't find
the route I took within America On Line to get there, but maybe through the
"AOL Insider"? Anyhow, the program is called AOL AutoDialer; I downloaded it
for a test run and it works GREAT. It keeps redialling automatically until
it connects -- you don't have to sit there and put in the password every
time. Why didn't AOL think of that??
Anyhow, the software costs $5.00. The developer is C. Kevin Garrison, at
6756 Mauna Loa, Sarasota, FL 34241. Sorry, there wasn't a phone number or
e-mail address for him. The way it works is you download the test from AOL,
then print out an order form, give him your e-mail address, send the five
bucks, and he sends you teh permanent software via e-mail.
Just thought I'd share!
