EXHIBIT REGISTRAR
The Missouri Historical Society seeks a detail-oriented museum
professional to track objects selected for the institution's
forthcoming major exhibits and to assist the exhibit team in many
aspects of the planning and implementation process. The qualified
candidate will have a BA in history, museum studies or related field
(MA preferred) and substantive professional museum experience with
knowledge of museum registration procedures, collection management
standards and policies, and exhibit planning. Demonstrated
familiarity with IBM compatible computer systems and museum databases
is required, as are excellent oral and written communication skills,
and the ability to work with minimal supervision as a member of a
team. Artifact handling skills and ability to negotiate stairs or
freight elevator and maneuver heavy carts necessary. Excellent
benefits. Salary $24,000 to $27,000 depending on experience and
