Hello -
Sorry for the ambiguous posting, but thank you for those who have responded
so far.
More about me -
I am graduating at the end of the month with an M.A. in Museum Studies
(education emphasis). My B.A. is in Art History and Art Education. I am
looking to work in the Education Department of an Art Museum or museum with
an Art Department. I am particularly interested in reaching educational
objectives through exhibit design and would love to be the education
component of an exhibit development team. I have experience doing audience
research, writing exhibit text, developing teacher curriculum guides,
conducting hands-on workshops, and designing educational interactives. I
have researched the techniques of Katharine Kuh, curator of the Gallery of
Interpretation at the Art Institute of Chicago in the 1940's, and I am
interested in implementing some of her methods in visual learning.
I am looking for opportunities in the Chicago area because my husband plans
to attend the Art Institute in the near future.
I appreciate your interest. Thanks in advance for your response.
Deborah Bain
