The Octagon, the Museum of the American Architectural Foundation
(Washington, DC) is looking to fill two positions: Museum Coordinator
(full-time) and Education Assistant (part-time).
Museum Coordinator--provides administrative support to the director,
coordinates special event planning and maintains financial and office
files. This position also manages the museum's retail operations and
supervises the maintenance assistant. Must have strong organizational
and administrative skills, be able to work effectively in a team
environment, and have IBM word processing skills. A tremendous
opportunity for the individual looking to enter the museum field.

Education Assistant--manages tour and interpreter scheduling/record
keeping and program administration. Flexible, detail-oriented
individuals interested in museum education are encouraged to apply.
Currently a 12-hour per week position, there is strong opportunity to
expand hours and involvement in program development and
implementation. Position available immediately. Education assistant
reports to the curator of education.
