I am working as a curator and would like to know more about object
conservation. I would like to better judge where a professional
conservator should intervene, before it is all too obvious, and be able
to undertake some basic conservation work myself where required.

Does anybody know of a short course offered in Australia or
alternatively something offered through distance education? Obviously it
would have to be aimed above the basics of object handling and yet not
train you in complicated laboratory techniques. I have tried the
University of Canberra and they only offer the undergraduate degree.

Thank you.
