Excuse me, but I am sure there are people who *would* want to move to
Indiana, even for a part time job. Furthermore, there are people who would
want to work for a short term in an historical society museum just for the
learning experience, and also, it is not prudent to tell the list that
those job hunting should only apply to satisfy some unemployment
regulation. The Indy Historical Society is a very stable and respected
institution. The lucky person who is awarded that job will derive great
benefit. I am unsure where you are (or who you are), but I can guarantee
that there are probably even better places out there. You made a choice,
so let others make theirs. Some people are serious about their job
searching, even going so far as to apply for a temporary museum job out of
state rather than flipping burgers at home. That shows a real committment
to remain with the profession. Never belittle their efforts.
