The Cincinnati Art Museum is having a major exhibition concerning roles of
women in ancient Egypt: "Women in Ancient Egypt." The exhibiton runs
from October 20 through January 5. Programs related to this exhibtion
include symposia and lectures.
This will be the first look in North America at the role of Women in
Ancient Egypt. Monumental royal stone statuary, relief sculpture, cast
bronze figurines and miniature representations in gold & ivory are
featured in this exploration of the roles occupied by women in ancient
Egyptian society - from servants and domestic workers to queens,
priestesses and deities.
