For good information on Native Hawaiian quilts and quilting, contact the
Mission Houses Museum in Honolulu, Hawaii. I don't know the curator, but
they have done many Hawaiian quilt shows and know many people who do this
type of quilting. Sorry, I don't have their number either!

Within the last year, Quilter's Newsletter Magazine had several articles
about Native American quilting including Native Hawaiian quilts. QNM is
on line but I don't have the address.
