Mr. Lewis and any others with the same question: The
opinion expressed was personal, not legal. My advice, which
was that the poster of the original question seek qualified
legal advice and read the law and related regulations, was
good and stands. I also think you'd be better off to ask
the question of the folks at the NPS who wrote the
regulations for an interpretation, than to throw it out to
Museum-L where there's obviously quite varied opinion. If
you work in a museum in the USA, have responsibility for
collections, and don't understand the federal law referred
to as the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation
Act (NAGPRA), you should make some effort to do so.
