Resources for Teaching Pennsylvania History
Students and teachers are rapidly gaining expertise in information technologies.
Staff and volunteers in museums and historical organizations must be diligent in
there efforts to develop and implement new interpretive methodologies in order
to keep subject matter interesting and fun. This workshop provides ideas and
materials to update and enrich the Pennsylvania curriculum now in use. The
morning session will introduce participants to the rich variety of resources
available for teaching and studying Pennsylvania's history. In the afternoon,
participants will explore teacher services that have been developed at the host
historical societies. The program will conclude with a discussion of funding
approaches.
