Yesterday I received 2 messages from the Getty that tied up my computer for
an hour each. Whoever sent those messages, I beg of you: PLEASE BE MORE
SELECTIVE ABOUT WHAT YOU SEND!!! After an hour wait for each message to
download, to my horror I discovered that these "messages" were nothing more
than garbled TIFF codes. Please do not ever ever EVER send such messages
again. The Museum-L is designed to handle word messages, not images. If we
wish to access a web site, complete with images, that's one thing. E-mail,
at least not my simple set-up, simply cannot handle images and other
sophisticated electronic transmissions.

I now live in terror of what may come down that electronic Museum-L pike.

Did anyone else experience this problem with the Getty's "messages"?
