Museum-L is a very valuable resource for collections care and general
conservation information for the general museum community. I know that there
are at least half a dozen conservators subscribing to Museum-L and I believe
that it is our reponsibility to add our comments to the discussions. Where
specific treatment questions come up, I believe that it is also important to
bring these questions to CoOL.
I wonder if there might be a mechanism by which we can forward these
questions, and conversely, the responses between Museum-L and CoOL, in an
efficient manner so that the information exchange can take place without lots
of duplication.
I wouldn't mind forwarding the questions to CoOL, and vice versa, passing on
the answers to Museum-L, since I subscribe to both. However, I'm not sure
whether this would be useful, or whether folks on both Museum-L and CoOL
would be comfortable with this.
Before I do this, I would appreciate comments.
