I'd be jumped at conclusions to tell you how the Metropolitan Museum in New
York supports itself, but it's a comination of government funds, membership
dues, admission fees, and shops. The Metropolitan merchandises everything,
and they do it brilliantly. I shall send you a copy of their annual report
(because I love the Prado so much!!!) which details their income. Jay Fahey
