By the way, someone pointed out to me that hacking Netscape is illegal. I
don't have any difficulties with hacking it to see if we can get the result
we want, but before using a hacked version, we will have to notify Netscape
and attempt to get their permission.
I trolled ftp://sumex-aim.stanford.edu for hacked versions of Netscape and
found many that were hacked in one way or another so I made the mistaken
assuption that making minor changes to Netscape was both common and
accepted...
I don't want anyone to get the impression that hacking a commercial program
such as Netscape is permitted.
That said, I would still appreciate learning about hacked versions or
alternate browsers...maybe I'm naive, but I see no reason Netscape wouldn't
give us their blessing to use a modified version.
