I am also very interested in this aspect particularly from a
visitor/evalaution perspective. How do visitors use them? *Do* they
use them? What do they think of them? Are they a useful tracking
device for visitor behaviour? Are the newer CDRom-driven types better
and what are the advantages?

I remember some discussion on audio tours recently. Unfortunately, I didn't
pay as close attention as I might have and so I am at risk in repeating some
of the questions. If so, I am sorry. In any case, when museums are
producing audio tours for an exhibition, who produces them? Are there
companies devoted to this, or are they produced in house? Any information
would be helpful?
Thanks. [log in to unmask]
