" What is the average spent per person..? ...high/low items...?"
Our three year old operation, which has experienced 10% revenue growth per
year, grosses 75 cents per visitor. Doesn't seem like much, but the net
equates to 5% of our revenues with minimal overhead dollars and volunteer
time. (Wish I could get the same amount in grants that easily :-)
Of course, we stock some unique, some say hard-to-find items that are a
little pricey, like $100 books and $1200 prints from our featured artists;
however, the bulk of our sales (50% of our revenues) are the five and ten
dollar impulse items like nautical jewelry, stuffed and glass sharks, etc.
