DIRECTOR OF SCIENCE - NYC-area museum seeks experienced professional to be
responsible for all aspects of exhibits and programs related to the science
and technology of moving images. Work closely with education and other
senior staff to:
- train and supervise museum education staff
- develop demonstrations, workshops, classes
- present school materials, including kits and guides
- develop and deliver science-based education programs
- lead design team in the preparation of a science-based travelling exhibition
- evaluate new science programs
QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced degree in physical science, engineering, or
science education preferred. Knowledge of subject matter and use of
mechanics, light and optics, sound, visual and aural perception, electronics
and computers. Teaching experience and commitment to experienced-based
learning. Excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills.
SALARY: $40,000+
